Saint-Gervais-en-Vallière is located about fifty kilometers south-southwest of Dijon in the Bresse natural landscape . Saint-Maurice-en-Rivière is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Loup-Géanges in the north and west, Chevigny-en-Vallière in the north, Saint-Martin-en-Gâtinois in the east and Allerey-sur-Saône in the south.
