Bey is a French municipality with 845 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). Administratively it belongs to the arrondissement Chalon-sur-Saône and the canton Gergy (until 2015 Saint-Martin-en-Bresse ). The inhabitants are called Beydouins .

geography

Bey is located about eight kilometers east-northeast of Chalon-sur-Saône in the natural landscape of Bresse on the Saône . Bey is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Gergy in the north, Damerey in the north and east, Montcoy in the southeast, Allériot in the south and west and Sassenay in the west.
