Regis Juanico
Régis Juanico (born February 5, 1972 in Saint-Rémy , Saône-et-Loire department ) is a French politician . He has been a member of the National Assembly since 2007 .
Juanico graduated from high school on Réunion and then studied at the Institut d'études politiques in Lyon . He completed his studies in Paris with a master's degree in political science . At the same time Juanico, who had joined the Parti socialiste in 1990 , got involved in the student union UNEF-ID . In 1995 he was elected president of the PS youth organization Mouvement des Jeunes Socialistes . As such, he led the MJS election campaign in the 1997 parliamentary elections . During the following legislative term he worked for Secretary of Defense Alain Richard . His first political office was when he entered the General Council of the Loire department . This was followed in 2007 by a successful candidacy in the parliamentary elections in the first constituency of the department. In December of the same year he was elected to the National Bureau of the PS. In 2008 he was also elected chairman of the PS in the Loire department. In 2012 he was re-elected as a member of parliament.
