The dolmens of Luras (Alzoledda, Bilello, Ciuledda and Ladas) are located near Luras in the province of Sassari in Sardinia . They represent the largest concentration of megalithic monuments of the dolmen type on the island. The village of Luras is northeast of Tempio Pausania . On a rocky hill near the village is the Dolmen Ladas, a few hundred meters downhill from the Dolmen Ciuledda. The dolmen Alzoledda and Bilello are about 1.5 km from the village. Unadorned pottery fragments were found in the dolmens , which allow a rough date to be found in the 3rd millennium BC. To make.

Ladas

The dolmen of Ladas

The dolmen of Ladas dates from around 3000 BC. It consists of a large covered gallery that is 6 m long and 2.2 m high. It is covered by two large panels and has a rear apse . The chamber is divided into two by a horizontal plate. It belongs to the genus of passage graves, which are rare on the island. The rear capstone has a surface area of about 15 square meters and measures 4.8 × 3.4 m with a thickness of 45 cm (7.5 m³). The bottom is apparently worked. The entrance is 1.2 m high and 2.3 m wide.

Ciuledda

The Dolmen Ciuledda

The Dolmen Ciuledda is built similarly, but smaller. The open chamber consists of a semicircle. The entrance is in the southeast. The capstone measures 3.4 × 2.35 m and the total height of the monument is around 90 cm.

Alzoledda

The Alzoledda dolmen

The Alzoledda dolmen is small and probably the oldest of Luras' four dolmens. Three large granite bearing stones form a trapezoidal chamber. The only capstone measures 2.56 × 2.45 m. The height of the monument is about 90 cm.

Bilella

The Dolmen Billella

The Dolmen Bilello, which now consists of only three stones, is of the simplest type. However, it has the abnormality that the local granite subsoil was integrated into the construction: On one side the monument stands on the natural rock about 0.5 m higher. The capstone has the dimensions of 2.65 × 2.20 m.
