Mas Girarols II dolmen

The dolmen of Mas Girarols II belongs to the dolmen of Espolla with ten other megalithic structures . It is located north of Espolla , in the Comarca Alt Empordà in the province of Girona in Catalonia in Spain . At a curve in the road that leads to Banyuls-sur-Mer , a steeply sloping path branches off to the dolmens of Girarols I and II.

The slabs of the dolmen built on a steep slope are made of slate . It has a trapezoidal chamber and a non-preserved passage. The monument was turned into a small hut. There is only the end stone and part of the side plates. The chamber capstone, found in 1986, has several curved grooves and a modern notch.

The dolmen of Mas Girarols I and the dolmen of Puig Balaguer are nearby .
