The dolmens of Mores Altes I and II are located southwest of the village near the road that leads from El Port de la Selva to the monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes in Catalonia in Spain . Probably the dolmens and the Taula dels Lladres (Eng. Table of thieves) were built in this zone, from which one could overlook the valley and the sea. Originally, however, the area was covered by scrubland and holm oak forests. The dolmens contained burials from the 5th or 4th millennium BC. Chr.

Dolmen I and II

Mores Altes I and II are megalithic systems with long trapezoidal chambers and narrow passages. The supporting stones of the dolmen are slabs. The round hill of Mores Altes I, which has not been preserved, was about 10 m in diameter, that of Mores Altes II was 7.0 to 8.0 m in diameter. Both were made of small stones. The ceiling plate of Mores Altes I shows small bowls . The one from Mores Altes II shows a small bowl.

Nearby is the Taula dels Lladres dolmen .
