Dolmen of the Peyre Nègre

The dolmen of Peyre Nègre is right next to the road to Naussannes , in a field about 650 m northwest of the Allée couverte von Blanc , south of Beaumont-du-Périgord near Bergerac in the extreme south of the Dordogne department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

Dolmen of the Peyre Nègre

The Peyre Nègre dolmen, which is poorly accessible in the vegetation, is around 2.0 meters high. The large, heavily weathered capstone lies on three large supporting stones, at least one other stone has collapsed.
