Place del Sol dolmen
The dolmen of Place del Sol (also called Pierre Levée or Peyrière ) is located in the hamlet of Place du Sol near Espédaillac in the Lot department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).
It is built against a "Draille" (Occitan "dralha"), a road lined with dry masonry for the cattle drive .
The dolmen simple has lost its hill, but is still well preserved. It belongs to the group of around 800 dolmens du Quercy.
