The Purifaing dolmen is located in the forest, west of La Forge and east of Éloyes in the Vosges department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The unusually shaped Neolithic simple dolmen ( French dolmen simple ) is located on the west side of the Purifaing massif on a slope. The chamber of the polygonal dolmen has a length of about 2.0 m and a height of 80 cm. The width is 1.8 m directly behind the entrance and in the center and 1.2 m at the rear end. The entrance is about 60 cm wide. The dolmen is oriented north-south with the entrance in the north. The west and north sides consist of large panels. On the east side, a large slab of seven small stones arranged in an arch is added. The chamber is covered with six overlapping oval plates. Traces of a tumulus can be seen.

There are a few small menhirs near the dolmen.
