Domenico Bertini
Domenico Bertini (born June 26, 1829 in Lucca , † September 7, 1890 in Florence ) was an Italian composer and music writer.
Bertini received his training at the music school in Lucca and later by Michele Puccini , made his debut as a composer with a mass in 1850 and was appointed conductor and director of the music school in Massa-Carrara in 1857. From here he moved to Florence in 1862, where he distinguished himself partly as director of the Società Cherubini , partly as an employee of the Boccherini and other music newspapers. Bertini is the author of two operas and a deserving theoretical work: Compendio di principi di musica, secondo un nuovo sistema (Florence 1866). He died in Florence in 1890 at the age of 61.
