Domenico Ceccarossi

Domenico Ceccarossi (born November 19, 1910 in Orsogna , † January 24, 1997 in Ciampino ) was an Italian horn player.

Ceccarossi received his first musical lessons on the horn in the band of his hometown "La banda di Orsogna", after which he continued his autodidactic training. In 1931 he got a job in the radio symphony orchestra in Milan, then in Turin. Further stations in his career were the orchestra of the Academia di St. Cecilia and the Italian radio-TV orchestra, in each of which he held the position of principal horn. From 1951 he was teaching at the conservatories in Rome and Pesaro. He also gave concerts on a regular basis.
