The Aviation Meet - Los Angeles (also Dominguez International Air Meet ) was in Los Angeles to the United States barred international aviation meeting, until January 20, 1910 by 10 in the Dominguez Field was held. He succeeded in setting a new world record in altitude of 1269 m and staying in the air for the longest time with 1h 49min 40s, which earned him US $ 14,000 in prize money. Glenn Curtiss achieved the highest speed with passengers (88.5 km / h) and he achieved the fastest start in 6.4 s.

A total of 226,000 spectators attended the event, with revenues of US $ 137,500. Because of this success, such events soon became the norm in the United States.
