Adolph von Koerber

Adolph Wilhelm Koerber , from 1861 von Koerber (born August 18, 1817 in Sandau , Province of Saxony , † March 8, 1895 in Cairo , Egypt ) was a Prussian Real Privy Councilor, General Landscape Director and politician.

origin

He came from a early as the first half of the 16th century in the eastern Harz -called family and was the son of the landowner William Koerber (1783 to 1858), Prussian militia -Bezirkskommandeur, bailiff and leaseholders on Good Alvensleben, and Juliane (Julie) Reuter ( 1794-1888).

Life

Koerber took over the administration of his father's property as early as 1839. Later he was a landlord himself on Koerberrode, Groß-Plowenz and Hoheneichen (all districts of Graudenz , West Prussia ). He founded the "West Prussian Agricultural Loan Fund". In 1871 he became general landscape director of West Prussia and in 1894 royal Prussian real privy councilor . In the years 1849, 1867-1870 and 1892-1890 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the Right Center and the Reich and Free Conservative Party (RFKP) . Finally, in 1890, he was appointed a member of the Prussian mansion for life.

Koerber married on June 1, 1850 Clara Cawitzel (born May 9, 1827 in Berlin ; † September 27, 1908 in Charlottenburg near Berlin), the daughter of the businessman Heinrich Cawitzel and Henriette Nicolas . The couple had several children:
