Dominik Kaiser (born October 29, 1969 ) is a Swiss film , television, music producer and entrepreneur .

life and work

Dominik Kaiser grew up in Thalwil , his father owned a sawmill . He did an apprenticeship as a radio and television electrician. He founded his first company at the age of 16. He imported Atari ST and Commodore Amiga computers to Switzerland.

Dominik Kaiser was co-owner of two music labels (Energetic Records and Elevator Music) and built up artists such as DJ Tatana , DJ Mind-X , DJ Energy and Minus8. As an executive producer, he received various awards. Including 2 × gold, 6 × platinum and 2 × gold & platinum awards. He was co-organizer of music events such as the Street Parade in Zurich and is the former managing director of VIVA Plus with around 80 employees in Cologne . He was responsible for restarting the station. He also advised TV broadcasters such as ProSieben and Sat1 and music broadcasters such as VIVA and MTV in Germany. As an independent TV entrepreneur, Dominik Kaiser has developed and produced over 320 episodes for Swiss television and in 2003 was the producer of the feature film The Ring Thing , a Swiss parody of The Lord of the Rings . He has published two books on youth marketing and until 2007 was a member of the board of directors and shareholder of Ruf Lanz Werbeagentur AG in Zurich.

In autumn 2006 he started the largest Swiss private TV broadcaster as initiator, main shareholder and managing director of 3+ . In 2009 he won the Swiss Economic Award with 3+ in the field of services. Meanwhile, 3+ in prime time has about the same number of viewers as Sat1. In 2012, Dominik Kaiser announced an expansion of the channel group for Switzerland with channel 4+ . 4+ wants to show blockbusters , series and documentaries, as well as broadcast repeats of 3+ in-house productions. The station started on October 9, 2012.
