Dominik Steiner (born May 15, 1973 in Ennetbürgen ; resident in Meggen ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP: Liberals ).

Life

Dominik Steiner grew up in Ennetbürgen. He attended the compulsory schools in Ennetbürgen and then completed a four-year apprenticeship as an electrical mechanic. From 1997 to 2000 he studied production planning and organizational theory at TEKO in Lucerne, later followed by a postgraduate degree in business administration at the SfB and a degree in business information technology at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences , which he completed with an Executive Master in Business IT .

Professionally, Steiner worked in the machine industry until 2001 before moving to the world of digitization and working as a consultant. From January 2018 he worked as a director for the consulting company AlfaPeople . Since August 2019 he has been "Head of Account Management" at the Swiss Microsoft partner isolutions ag .

Steiner has been politically active as a member of the Ennetbürgen School Commission since 2014. Since July 2018 he has been elected as District Administrator of the Canton of Nidwalden for four years and is a member of the FDP parliamentary group.

Steiner lives with his wife and two daughters in Ennetbürgen.
