The Dominion Range (German: Dominion chain ) is a broad mountain range of the Transantarctic Mountains , which over a length of 48 kilometers forms a prominent headland at the confluence of the Beardmore and Mill glaciers . The highest point is Mount Mills with a height of 2955 m .
The mountain range was discovered by participants in the Nimrod expedition (1907-1909) led by the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton . It was named after the Dominion of New Zealand in gratitude for the government's support for the expedition.
