Dominique Herr (born October 25, 1965 in Basel ) is a former Swiss football player . He played in the position of central defender .

Career

Herr started his career in 1984 with the local club FC Basel . In the 1986/87 season he was the first regular player and completed 31 games. After the relegation of FC Basel to the National League B a year later, Herr moved to Lausanne-Sports to continue playing in the highest Swiss league.

In the summer of 1992 he switched to the Swiss champions Sion . With Sion he won the Swiss Cup in 1995 and 1996. At the age of 30, Mr. had to end his career due to injury.

Between 1989 and 1995, Herr played 52 games for the Swiss national football team and scored four goals. He was part of the national team at the 1994 World Cup in the USA and played all four games.
