Don't Forget the Lyrics! is an American karaoke quiz show. It was produced for Fox from mid-2007 to 2009. It has now been exported to countries such as Great Britain , France and Austria . A similar format was found in the NBC telecast Singing Bee , which runs on a similar concept.

overview

The show is hosted by Wayne Brady . The show's main prize is one million dollars, but so far no one has been able to achieve this, which was also not achieved in the versions of the other countries. The program is produced by the RDF Media group. The only German-language version of the show so far is broadcast by the Austrian broadcaster ATV and is called Sing and Win!

concept

While the studio band is playing the melody of a song and the text of this song is displayed on a screen, the candidate must sing along. When the music stops, the candidate must continue the text without assistance. If the candidate sings correctly, he will advance to the next round, if not, he will be eliminated. Like the show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? there are profit hurdles that secure the candidate on a sum of money.
