Don Malone
Don Malone ( LoneMonad ) is an American improvisation musician , composer and university lecturer .
Malone graduated from Roosevelt University in Chicago, where he in 1977 assistant professor and in 1990 associate professor was. From 1997 until his retirement in 2006 he was a professor in the Theory and Composition department .
His students included u. a. the Japanese composer and improvisation musician Kiyomitsu Odai , the American jazz percussionist Michael Zerang and the American composers Sarah Ritch , Jesse Ronneau , Edward Eicker and Rich Corpolongo . With his live electronic improvisations, he performed as a street musician in Chicago and in the renowned Carnegie Hall .
