Donald Ridge is a narrow rock ridge that extends south of Mount Capley in the West Antarctic Pioneer Heights . About 1 nautical mile (1.9 kilometers) west runs the similar-looking Ronald Ridge , south the Driscoll Glacier flows .

Donald Ridge was mapped by the United States Geological Survey as part of the survey of the Ellsworth Mountains in 1961-66 through field surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy . It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names after Donald L. Willson, who worked as a meteorologist at the Little America V research station in 1958 .
