Donald Sewell Lopez Jr.
Donald Sewell Lopez Jr. (* 1952 in Washington, DC ) is an American author and professor of Buddhist and Tibetan Studies at the University of Michigan . In 1982 he did his Ph.D. at the University of Virginia .
He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2000).
His areas of expertise are Indian and Tibetan Buddhism , Tibetan history and Tibetan language .
