Niederbayern TV Deggendorf-Straubing (formerly: Donau TV ) is a Lower Bavarian regional television broadcaster based in Deggendorf. The broadcast studios are located in Deggendorf and Straubing . The station is operated by Niederbayern TV Deggendorf-Straubing GmbH and Co. KG .
Transmission area and times
The broadcasting area of Niederbayern TV Deggendorf-Straubing includes the districts of Straubing-Bogen, Dingolfing-Landau, Regen and Deggendorf. The program is produced in close cooperation with the Landshut and Passau part of Niederbayern TV. The transmitter sends:
- in the cable 24 hours a day
- on digital satellite TV from 7:00 p.m. every 90 minutes in the program network on the Niederbayern channel
- on the Internet (since November 1, 2010)

- DONAU TV - Der Tag : This magazine provides information about important events in the entire broadcasting area five times a week.
- DONAU TV Sport : This magazine is about sport for all of Lower Bavaria.
- DONAU TV Jugend is the youth magazine of Donau TV, which is broadcast in cooperation with the Deggendorf University of Technology .
- DONAU TV Wirtschaft is the business magazine of Donau TV.
- DONAU TV Kultur : In this broadcast the customs of Lower Bavaria are presented.
- DONAU TV Niederbayern is the magazine for all of Lower Bavaria.
The program Dahoam (high German "at home") is the station's weekly review, which always runs on Saturdays and Sundays. The format is divided into four regional parts, each lasting 15 minutes:
- Dahoam - Straubing city and country
- Dahoam - Deggendorf town and country
- Dahoam - Bavarian Forest
- Dahoam - between the Isar and the Danube
Internet presence
Since September 14, 2010, the station is no longer directly connected to Idowa, the website of the Straubinger Tagblatt / Landshuter Zeitung media group , and has its own Internet presence .
Conversion to 16: 9
Since February 1, 2010 Niederbayern TV Deggendorf-Straubing in 16: 9 format. This replaced the old 4: 3 format.
