Donggang (Dandong)

The city of Donggang ( Chinese 东港市 , Pinyin Dōnggǎng Shì ) is a district-free city of the district-free city of Dandong in the northeast Chinese province of Liaoning . It has an area of 2,396 km² and has 612,000 inhabitants (2010). The seat of government is the street district of Dadong (大 东 街道). In Donggang, the new overseas port of the city of Dandong ( Dandong New Port ) is being built as an alternative to the port of Dalian.
Administrative structure
At the municipal level, the independent city consists of three street districts, fifteen large municipalities and one municipality (the Manchu ).
