Donky is the title of a television series broadcast for the first time on ARD in 15 episodes and several comic books .
content
Donky is a rhinoceros-like being from the planet Alpha 6 * 4 . It came to planet Earth because of a problem with his spaceship. Donky ends up there in Traumburg - a small town where Tina and Kenny, two children, live. Donky befriends immediately and experiences numerous adventures. With the help of his horn, Donky can turn back time. This allows him (as in the episode The Tanker Accident, for example ) to undo disasters and events.

The television series was broadcast in 1995 by ARD in Germany. It was followed by several iterations later, the sender Ki.Ka . All episodes were also released on VHS.
Merchandising
Several radio plays have been released by the voices music label. A comic book and numerous articles such as clocks, groceries, toys etc. were published every two weeks to accompany the series . Donky went on a tour of Germany as a two-meter-tall doll and visited children all over Germany.
Continuation and IPO
In 1996 the co-production of Moser + Rosié Film GmbH and Golden Point ended. Moser + Rosié Film decided, due to legal differences with Golden Point, to discontinue production of the series.
In 1998 the production company of the series changed and Donky Merchandising & Publishing AG was founded, which went public in 2003 . In the years 1998/1999 two 4-minute pilot films and in 2003 a 50-minute pilot film were made, entitled Donky and the magical amulet of Burg Satzvey . Due to legal differences and the bankruptcy of several companies that were entrusted with the production and rights management, the film was taken off the market after a short time. In parallel to the production of the pilot film, the planning for a 26-part cartoon series and various merchandising articles was in progress. These were also discarded after the insolvency of Abakus AG, which held a 90% stake in Donky AG.
