Dante Carlo Munerati

Dante Carlo Munerati SDB (born October 12, 1869 in Bagnolo San Vito , Mantua , † October 20, 1942 in Volterra ) was an Italian religious priest and Roman Catholic bishop .

Life

A few months after his birth, his parents moved to Mozzecane near Verona , where he spent his childhood. Since November 9, 1889 he was in aspirant in Valsalice . There he was dressed on December 8, 1890 . After the first vows on August 12, 1891 as well as the philosophical and theological studies he received on December 17, 1894 by Bishop Giovanni Battista Tescari the priesthood . He worked as a teacher at the Salesian College in Parma until he was appointed school councilor and catechist in 1907.

On December 20, 1923, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the Bishop of Volterra . The episcopal ordination took place on January 29, 1924 in the Salesian Basilica Sacro Cuore in Rome by Giovanni Cardinal Cagliero SDB ; Co- consecrators were Cardinal Rossi OCD and Archbishop Rosa . Eventually he became General Procurator of the religious order in Rome , where he also worked as a consultor for papal congregations and commissions.
