Bagnolo San Vito is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5869 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Mantua in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 10 kilometers south-east of Mantua on the Parco regional del Mincio . The northern border of the municipality forms the Mincio , the southern the Po . The extreme eastern point of the municipality is the confluence of the two rivers.

As archaeological finds show, the community was already settled by the Etruscans .
