Redondesco is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1240 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Mantua in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 23 kilometers west of Mantua .

history

The community was first mentioned in 884 as Aprehensa Gardondesca . A document in 982 mentions a place called Radoldeschio , and in 1055 Radaldisco . A county existed from the end of the 11th century. The small church of Romitorio di San Pietro was built in the 11th century.
