Castelbelforte is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3259 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Mantua in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 21 kilometers west-northwest of Mantua and borders directly on the province of Verona . The Scolo Essere flows through the village .

history

The place was still called Castelbonafisso in the early Middle Ages . The current name is then proven around 1680.
