Moglia is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5427 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Mantua in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 27 kilometers south-southeast of Mantua and about 32 kilometers north-northwest of Modena . Moglia borders directly on the provinces of Modena and Reggio Emilia ( Emilia-Romagna ). The parish is bordered to the east by the Secchia .

The place Moglia is mentioned for the first time in 1327. The district of Bondanello is even mentioned in 1193.

traffic

The municipality used to be on the railway line from Rolo to Mirandola . The route was never used. The former Strada Statale 413 Romana (now a provincial road) leads through the village from Cerese to Modena.
