Goito is an Italian community south of Lake Garda, with 10,134 inhabitants (December 31, 2019) in the region of Lombardy .
During the Italian War of Independence in 1848 , Goito, on the Mincio , was the scene of fighting. The Piedmontese won a battle there on April 8, 1848, and the Battle of Goito on May 30, 1848 .
Twin town
Goito has been connected to Baienfurt (Upper Swabia) since 2006 .
