The Doppstadt Group is a German mechanical engineering company in the field of environmental technology. Doppstadt produces shredders for shredding waste wood as well as special machines for compost extraction. In the years 1999 to 2006 tractors or so-called "tracs" were built.
history
In 1965 Werner Doppstadt founded his contracting company in Velbert . In 1970, the development of the PUMA cleaning machine resulted in the entry into technology-based drinking water treatment. As a result, the company repositioned itself as a developer of environmental and recycling machines. From 1977 Doppstadt also had drum screening machines and wheel loader buckets in its range.
In 1990 the international trade was expanded through the establishment of the sales company DVG and in 1992 Förderanlagen Calbe GmbH in Calbe was taken over.
With the establishment of Doppstadt Calbe GmbH in 1995, the conveyor technology division was expanded and in 1998 the range was expanded to include carrier vehicles, whose production and worldwide sales were taken over by Case-Steyr.
From 1999 to 2006 Doppstadt GmbH Schönebeck existed at the location of the Schönebeck tractor factory . Trac tractors in the power range of 75–205 hp were built and developed in Schönebeck. However, the plant never achieved the sales figures it had hoped for, in particular due to deficiencies in the technical concept and the large-scale distribution network. In 2003, 2005 and 2006 new vehicles, returned vehicles and used vehicles as well as almost the entire inventory were auctioned at the Schönebeck plant.
In 2005, the production of the Grizzly carrier vehicle was taken over by Doppstadt Austria GmbH, where it is still produced and developed in two types today. Two years later, a center for the development of stationary machines was founded in Velbert. After the management was handed over to his son Ferdinand Doppstadt in 2013, Doppstadt America LP was founded in Rockville in 2014 .
