The listed village church Gerbisbach probably dates from around 1300. It is located in Gerbisbach , a district of the city of Jessen in the district of Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt .

The church building is made of field stones and partly of lawn iron stones . The church , which stands on a square floor plan, is a choir - less two-aisled hall building with a square west tower, which was built in the second half of the 19th century. During this time, the window openings were also enlarged.

The groin vaulted ceiling of the interior of the church dates from the 15th century.

Furnishing

The pulpit altar of the church is dated to the first quarter of the 18th century. It is located on a brick medieval stipe with sepulcrum . The round baptism made of sandstone is dated to the second half of the 15th century. A gallery built on columns leads from the north to the east wall of the building. The organ in the church, made in neo-Gothic style , was built in the first half of the 19th century. Two tombstones, which are located on the church, are inscribed with the years 1791 and 1793.
