description

building

The church building is a late Gothic plastered quarry stone building with a three-sided east end. On the north side there is a square, groin-vaulted sacristy, over the western part of the ship a roof tower clad with boards. The building was restored in 1925.

Interior and equipment

In the single-nave interior there is a flat ceiling from 1738. The ship's windows were probably replaced in the same year. Below the northwest window are the remains of two lion figures that could belong to a former portal of the church. In the west of the ship there is a two-storey horseshoe gallery with an organ. The von Trotha lordship above the sacristy is marked with an inscription (TLvT1744) . The wooden pulpit altar dates from 1613 and was built by Jacob Wendelmuth. It is provided with flat carvings and painted representations. Christ Salvator and the four evangelists can be seen on the basket, the washing of feet on the predella and above the resurrection of Christ as well as the brazen serpent and the crucifixion of Christ.

Others

A gilded chandelier in the church dates from the second half of the 16th century.
