The Protestant village church Keller is a church in Keller , a district of the municipality of Lindow (Mark) in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district in Brandenburg . The village church is located in the center of the village and is surrounded by the churchyard. The church is a listed building.

history

The current church was built in 1743 on the site of a previous building. Nothing is known about the previous building. Keller as the mother church was mentioned for the first time in 1541 with two parish hooves. From 1602 the pastor lived in Lindow, the cellar was a subsidiary church from 1757. At that time it belonged to the superintendent of Lindow-Gransee, today it is part of the Gransee church district. The right of patronage first lay with the Lindow nunnery, from 1541 with the Lindow office and from 1764 with the Alt Ruppin office.

Renovations were planned from 1829 to 1832, but the only information known about the execution is that the spire should be repaired. Another renovation was completed in 1864. During this renovation, the windows with iron bars were probably used. The exterior was renovated in 1892, and the tower clock was installed in the same year. By 1985 the tower and roof of the church were repaired. In 2003 the tower was renewed.
