The village church Poxdorf is located in the municipality of Poxdorf in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia . The church is centrally located in the former Rundlingsdorf . It belongs to the parish in Burgel Kirchenkreis Eisenberg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

history

The former branch church of Graitschen is a single-nave Romanesque church with retracted rectangular choir tower and apse . During the renovation in 1718/19, the narrower tower set with a curved hood was probably also built. A special feature are the arched frieze and a pilaster strip in the apse.

Furnishing

The pulpit altar and the popular painting as well as the west gallery have been preserved from the furnishings acquired in 1719 .
