The church

The Protestant village church Thieschitz is located in the district Thieschitz of the independent city of Gera in Thuringia . It belongs to the Gera-Untermhaus parish in the Gera parish of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

history

In 1851 the village church was built on the remains of a previous church. In 1867 the nave was lengthened and raised, the apse changed and the sacristy and vestibule added .

The upper part of the tower has a pointed helmet over the flat tail dome. The lower part of the tower of the old previous church has been preserved.
