The church

The Protestant village church of Traßdorf is located in the Traßdorf district of the city of Stadtilm in the Ilm district in Thuringia . It belongs to the parish Marlishausen in Kirchenkreis Arnstadt-Ilmenau the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

history

A first church building, completed in 1593, was demolished after 100 years due to disrepair and replaced by a new church . The church tower follows in 1703 . The church had to be demolished in 1895 due to severe damage as a result of a storm. Today's neo-baroque style , built in 1898, is one of the youngest churches in the Ilm district. For the centenary, the church was renovated again. The names of the donors are inscribed.
