The church

The Evangelical Lutheran village church Vollmershain stands on a hill in the center of the community Vollmershain in the Altenburger Land district in Thuringia .

history

The church is said to have been built in the Romanesque around 1200. It is surrounded by a wall that also protects the cemetery .

architecture

The church tower has a Romanesque base with an apse to the east . The late Gothic nave was marked by many modifications and repairs. The last renovation took place from 1977 to 1983.
