description

The original church building dates from the 12th century and was apparently laid out as a fortified church . It is a late Romanesque hall building made of field stones with a square choir and a semicircular apse . It was not until 1730 that a square tower was added to the western front, which was given a curved dome that ended with a lantern. In the 1920s, the tower was given a simple tent roof.

The interior of the church surprises with its diverse furnishings from the 18th century, such as the elaborately carved pulpit, a multi-part altar and ceiling paintings.

The oldest inventory item is the late Romanesque baptismal font.

A bronze bell is from 1665 and is decorated with the coat of arms of the von Lossow family .
