Doris Almond
Doris Mandel (born May 22, 1948 in Hamburg ) is a Hamburg SPD politician and former member of the Hamburg Parliament .
Life
Doris Mandel completed an apprenticeship for the general administrative service and now works as an administrative officer . She works as the head of the Hamburg-Osdorf local office .
She is a member of the Ver.di union .
politics
Mandel has been a member of the SPD since 1974. For six years she was deputy state chairwoman of the working group for employee issues of the SPD and seven years a member of the SPD state executive committee.
She was a member of the Hamburg Parliament from 1997 to 2008. She represented the SPD in the Legal Committee and the Social Committee. She was the specialist spokesperson for her group on the subject of equality. In addition to equality between men and women, her political focus is on domestic and social policy.
