Doros

Doros ( Greek  Δῶρος ) is considered to be the progenitor of the Greek tribe of Dorians .

Doros' father is Hellen and his mother is the nymph Orseis . His siblings are Xuthos and Aeolos . Xanthippe is the daughter of Doros and the wife of Pleuron . Hellen divided his empire among his sons. Doros received a portion and called his subjects Dorians . The great Greek tribal group of the Dorians derives its name from this ancestor. The Greeks also thought he was the founder of Dor .

His son Tektamos led the resettlement of Aiolers and Pelasgians to Crete .
