Hellen ( Greek Ἕλλην Héllēn ) is considered to be the progenitor of the Hellenes in Greek mythology .

Hellen's parents are Deucalion and Pyrrha , who survived the great flood . His siblings are Amphictyon and Protogeneia . The Spouse of Hellen is the Orseis , a nymph . With her Hellen became the father of Aeolus (progenitor of aeolians), Doros (ancestor of the Dorians) and Xuthus (Ur ahn of the Ionians).

Hellen is said to have been buried in the Phthiotis near Meliteia north of Lamia .
