Dorothea Goehrs

Dorothea Göhrs , married Dorothea Kasten-Göhrs ( March 28, 1869 in Hanover - after 1899) was a German theater actress and opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

She received her training from H. Danielsohn and Franz von Milde and was engaged at the Leipzig City Theater in 1887, where she worked until 1895. Then she came to the Central Theater in Berlin (1896 to 1898), then joined the Association of the Thaliatheater in Hamburg, where she stayed for a year before returning to Leipzig, where she set up her permanent home. Göhrs worked as soubrette in drama and opera, and belonged to "Papagena", "Marie" ("Tsar and Zimmermann"), "Puck", "the shepherd" in "Thannhäuser", "Nandl" in "Promise behind the stove." “Etc. to their favorite games.

After her marriage in 1899 to the businessman Paul Kasten, she still appeared in a few guest performances at the Leipzig Opera House, but soon withdrew into private life.

Her life after 1899 is unknown.
