The Dorsum Nicol is a dorsum on the Earth's moon in the Mare Serenitatis plain . It runs from a point southwest of the Brackett crater , where it meets the Rimae Pliny , over a distance of about 50 kilometers to the southernmost point in the arch of the Dorsa Lister .

It was named after the Scottish physicist William Nicol at the 1976 IAU at its General Assembly in Grenoble .
