The Dostyk Order ( Kazakh : Достық ордені Dostik Ordeni ; from Kazakh Достық Friendship ) is a state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan . The award was established on December 12, 1995 by Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 2676 and is given to both citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreigners.

The award is given to people who have contributed to the promotion of international understanding , friendship and cooperation, and peace.

Description of the order

The Order of Dostyk has been divided into two classes according to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan N 462-1.

Class I.

The Dostyk Order represents a multi-level circle formed from elongated triangular rays. On the matt green background, the order shows in its center an indicated globe , on which a stylized white flower can be seen between two hands. In the lower part of the order is the inscription "Dostyk" ("Friendship").

The medal is made of gold-plated silver and has a diameter of 48 mm. It is attached to the left side of the chest or worn on the shoulder strap. The ribbon of the Order is green with two white stripes in the middle.

The order is made of gold-plated silver and represents a nine-pointed star, the rays of which are in the shape of a petal and covered with white and blue enamel. Between the rays there are national ornaments that symbolize the rays of the sun. In the center of the star is a medallion with a gold drawing of a geographic map of Central Asia , in the center of which a blue contour image of the borders of Kazakhstan can be seen. The medallion is enclosed by a blue border made of blue enamel. In the lower part of the order there is the inscription "Dostyk" (Druzhba friendship ).

The medal is also worn on the left side of the chest. The ribbon of the Order is red with two yellow stripes in the middle and a blue and a green border.

  • Hans-Dietrich Genscher (1927–2016), German politician and Foreign Minister (May 15, 2002) - for the great personal commitment to strengthening the friendly relations between Germany and Kazakhstan
  • Gernot Erler (* 1944), German politician (January 30, 2007) - for his commitment as chairman of the “German-Kazakh Society” and for his contributions to improving German-Kazakh relations
  • Christine Muttonen (* 1954), politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (January 23, 2020).
