Dot Island (from English dot , dot , dot, icing ) is a very small island in the Bay of Isles on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located 1 km west of Tern Island in the southern part of the bay.
The American ornithologist Robert Cushman Murphy mapped them on his trip with the brig Daisy (1912-1913). Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations carried out a geodetic survey of the island between 1929 and 1930 and named it descriptively for its size.
