List of rose varieties

The rose variety Double Delight (syn. ANDeli) is a red and white hybrid tea that was introduced by Swim & Ellis in 1978. The rose, popular for its fragrance, color and shape, was created by crossing the varieties 'Granada' (Lindquist 1963) and 'Garden Party' (Swim 1959).

The variety is more frequent, very fragrant and has large, double flowers that reach a diameter of over 10 cm. The mostly single flowers are initially creamy white, but get a carmine-red color from the edge in the sun. The flower color therefore changes more in warm regions and is completely eliminated due to the UV filtering of glass in the greenhouse. In cool weather, the flowers tend to curl up.

'Double Delight' has large, dull leaves, grows to a height of 0.8 to 1.5 m and is winter-proof down to −25 ° C ( USDA Zone 5 ). The rose is easy to care for, is suitable both as a garden plant and as a cut rose, but is somewhat susceptible to powdery mildew and blackened soot .
