The Dovers moraine is a glacial moraine made of coarse rubble in the east of Heard Island in the southern Indian Ocean . It extends immediately east of the Stephenson Glacier in a north-south orientation over a length of 2.5 km.
Scientists from the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions surveyed and named it in 1948. It is named after the Australian geologist Robert G. Dovers († 1981), who led this survey. At both ends of the moraine are the remains of the camps used by American sealers who extracted oil from elephant seals here between 1858 and 1882 .
