The Stephenson Glacier is a glacier to the east of Heard Island in the southern Indian Ocean . It flows into the Stephenson lagoon west of the Dovers moraine .
Scientists from the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions conducted a survey in 1948. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after the Australian geologist Philip Jon Stephenson (1930-2011), who worked on Heard in 1963.
