The Stephenson Lagoon is a lagoon to the east of Heard Island in the southern Indian Ocean . It is located at the mouth of the Stephenson Glacier south of Scarlet Hill .
The lagoon is named in connection with the glacier of the same name. Its namesake is the Australian geologist Philip Jon Stephenson (1930-2011), who worked for Heard in 1963.
